What's Next On Your Prep List?

What's next on your list of to do or to get? What item is your next buy for your survival or what is your next skill to learn to help you after the collapse hits? I plan to buy a new gun and mags for it. I think I will stick with the .223 theme. I have a mini-14 and love it and think I will get a extra one so my ammo and my mags will work with both, but this time I think I will buy the all-weather Black Hogue mini-14 with the thicker barrel. I have the ranch rifle and love it and have about 25 mags for it so if I stick with the mini-14 and add more ammo and mags it will help me to have uniformity with my guns. I have gone back and forth on this and looked at a lot of guns and for this next one it will be a 2nd mini-14, then I will work on the Socom M1A. I hope you guys are all working on your preps because the news out and about is looking worse every few days. I'm sure the collapse is near and the sheeple and walking dead are not even thinking a collapse can happen and are not prepared for anything, much less the end of the world as we know it. All I can say is keep up the prepping and stay alert to the coming collapse. Keep your eye's open and your powder dry. And as a good friend would always say Stay Alive! I hope the good friend can find his way back to his blog he will be missed.

Same Old News.....With Little Or No Truth!

Let us look at the news and see the new and old lies. The gulf oil spill is damn near 70 days and still going strong. With no hope for a good out come in the near future. How do they keep the sheeple so dumbed down with fake news. Not only do they believe it they live and love it. I said something bad about the oil spill the other day at work and had a sheeple jump down my throat about how well the great Obama and his rag tag team of Communist are doing with the oil spill. I just got up and told the person I was very sorry that they had lost there brain and wished them much luck in life. I just don't see how peeps can look at the BS and take it in for the truth. I'm a good ole boy from North Carolina and have this saying, I only believe 50% of what I see and 0% of what I hear, and it has worked well for me so far. I thank God everyday for the blogs and a few web sites with the truth. If you watch ABC, NBC, CNN, MSNBC, AP, CBS or even FOX you are not getting the truth. I think FOX is telling the most truth out of all of them but please don't let FOX be your only outlet for the news. Check out infowars.com, WorldNetDaily, The Drudge Report and many others. Read and pull the truth from them and use your best survival tool, your brain and then work out the BS and find the info you need and want. Keep up the prepping and stay ready for the coming collapse, because it's coming and anyone who tells you any different is lying. Now is the last time to prep and to get ready for the coming event of doom. So make a plan and stick to it and learn the skills you need to survive and practice with the skills.

It's Time To Step Up!!!!!

Hot Here Today....

It's 104* here today and looks like we will have a very hot summer. We had a power outage yesterday for about 5 hours. It got up to 80* in the house, we had to go out to the pool to cool off. It was at that point me and my wife said, "We need to get out of this state" not just because of the heat but because this place sucks. The gun laws suck and the state is broke, and I could go on for days about why we want to get out of here. We had said in January we would like to get out of here by June of next year, but now we would like to get out by the end of this year. We have been looking around for a good place to move to. We liked Denver and we have about three other states we liked so from now till the end of the year we will be looking for that next place to live.
I did get to work on my preps this weekend and have a plan for more dry goods for the food saver. I need more oats, brown sugar, rice, beans and salt, so this weekend I plan to get a good bit of that done. I am trying to get as much prepping done as I can because I think our time is short. Keep up the prepping work and keep an eye out for the NWO........

ALERT!!!!!

THE PATCH
The other day I needed to go to the emergency room. Not wanting to sit there for 4 hours, I put on my old Army fatigues and stuck a patch onto the front of my shirt that I had downloaded off the Internet. When I went into the E.R., I noticed that 3/4 of the people got up and left. I guess they decided that they weren't that sick after all. Cut at least 3 hours off my waiting time. Here's the patch. Feel free to use it the next time you're in need of quicker emergency service.

It also works at DMV. It saved me 5 hours. At the Laundromat, three minutes after entering, I had my choice of any machine, most still running. Don't try it at McDonald's though..... The whole crew got up and left and l never got my order...
A friend e-mailed this to me very funny.......But true....

War With Iran???

Israel, US preparing for war with Iran
Found @ Infowars.com

A flurry of news reports over the past week indicate that Israel and the US are readying for an imminent military strike on Iran’s nuclear facilities.
On Wednesday, Iran’s semi-official Fars News Agency reported that about a week ago a squad of Israeli military aircraft landed at a military airstrip in Saudi Arabia, of all places. It was reported earlier this month that Saudi Arabia had agreed to let Israel pass through its airspace in order to strike Iran.
The Israeli aircraft reportedly landed at the airport in Tabuk in northwest Saudi Arabia, which according to the report will act as the central base of operations for the Israeli air campaign against Iran.
Fars cited a local Saudi resident who said the Israeli presence and cooperation between the ruling local Saudi prince and the Jewish state was the talk of the town.
Saudi Arabia does not have formal relations with Israel, and publicly refers to the Jewish state as an enemy. But Riyadh is just as fearful of an Iranian nuclear bomb as Israel, and would likely resort to any means to avoid having its regional economic influence disturbed.
At the same time, Iran’s Press TV reported that a very large contingent of US ground forces had massed in neighboring Azerbaijan. The independent Azerbaijani news website Trend confirmed the report.
Those reports came just days after the Pentagon confirmed that an unusually large fleet of US warships had indeed passed through Egypt’s Suez Canal en route to the Persian Gulf. At least one Israeli warship reportedly joined the American armada.

Congress Votes to Impose Embargo On Iran
Infowars.comJune 25, 2010
Congress has moved closer to war with Iran“Congress on Thursday approved tough new unilateral sanctions aimed at squeezing Iran’s energy and banking sectors, which could also hurt companies from other countries doing business with Tehran,” Reuters reports. “The House of Representatives passed the bill 408-8 and sent it to President Barack Obama for signing into law. The Senate had approved it 99-0 earlier in the day.”
Congress has pushed for crippling sanctions against Iran for months. At the behest of Obama — in other words, at the behest of the elite — Congress held off until the U.N. Security Council and the European Union agreed on new multilateral sanctions. Congress, however, believes more punitive measures are still required in order to punish the Islamic state for its nuclear energy program. Iran is permitted under the NPT to develop nuclear energy but Congress, Obama, Israel and the Europeans insist the program is a cover for a nuclear weapons program.
“The U.N. sanctions, though a good first step, are quite tepid. And they are tepid because there are other members of the Security Council who want to keep doing that business with Iran. … The United States … has to pass these unilateral sanctions,” declared Democrat senator Barbara Mikulski.
The U.S. has infused the Gulf states with armaments and currently has an armada of warships patrolling Iran’s shores. “Iran’s rulers will sense that the conventional balance of power is tilting dramatically against them,” explains the Council on Foreign Relations.
In early June, Bilderberg sleuth Jim Tucker reported from Spain that a majority of Bilderberg members are now in favor of military air strikes on Iran. “An attack on Iran would provide a welcome distraction to the globalists’ failings in other areas and would also allow them to war profiteer,” Paul Joseph Watson reported the American Free Press journalist as saying.
Iran has admitted the globalist are gunning for them. “The Islamic Republic in Iran is facing ‘a sinister international conspiracy’ designed to ‘replace religious rule with secularism.’ The plot was allegedly hatched by a ’secret society of Freemasons’ known as the Bilderberg Group whose members include many of the Western world’s richest and most powerful businessmen and politicians,” Iranian journalist Amir Taheri wrote in 2008.
On June 9, the United Nations Security Council voted to impose a new round of sanctions on the country. Obama hailed the effort as “the toughest sanctions ever faced by the Iranian government.” The main thrust of the sanctions is against military purchases, trade and financial transactions carried out by the Islamic Revolutionary Guards Corps, according to the New York Times.
Ron Paul stated in December of last year that sanctions are in essence a declaration of war. “It is designed to foment war by cutting off trade and diplomacy. Too many forget that the quagmire in Iraq began with an embargo. Sanctions are not diplomacy. They are a precursor to war and an embarrassment to a country that pays lip service to free trade,” Paul said. “If a foreign government attempted to isolate the U.S. economically, cut off our supply of gasoline, or starve us to death, would it cause Americans to admire that foreign entity? Or would we instead unite under the flag for the survival of our country?”

It's The Weekend!!!!!

I have a few things on my plate today. I plan to bag up some more beans and rice with the food saver and maybe go back out to the range today. If I don't get to the range today I will go on Sunday. I also plan to work in my shop some this weekend. I would like to make a few targets to take to the range and a few to give to my friends. I did make my Wal-Mart run today already and no luck with the ammo so I just did as I always do and picked up a few boxes of 12ga #6 shot this time. I get #6,#4,#2 and #7-8 shot and about every few trips I get #00 Buck 9 pellet or 1oz slug. I did get ten more 1 lb. LP tanks at Wal-Mart, I stick them to the side and use them for my Coleman grill and they fit my camp stove, heater, all five lanterns and the back up camp stove. I have a few 5 gal LP tanks I use off and on but I like to save them and use the smaller ones. I like to take the 1 lb tanks after they are empty and shoot at them at the range.
So I guess this is a prepping weekend. I hope you all have a good weekend and a safe one to. Keep up your prepping and keep your eye's open, because it's getting very crazy out there!!!

A Day At The Range......

Here are a few photos of last Tuesday, me and the new son-in-law went to the range just four days after he and my daughter got married. They go on there honeymoon starting this weekend so don't think I cut into their time together. When we first got to the range site my son-in-law ran into a friend that could not get over the fact that his new wife let him go shoot just four days after the wedding. And all he said was' "Pete asked me to go and did it in front of her and she said yes without any problem." I raised my girls around shooting and being prepared, and she knows I would not pull him away for very long and she knows the skills of shooting are going to be needed very soon. We went out to the range and had a good day, we were there for about 2 1/2 hours and a lot of fun. I ask you guys to keep up your prepping and to stock up on food, water and other needed supplies, but I now ask you to get out and use your skills of survival, like shooting, making fire, finding water, hunting and fishing. These skills of life are going to be needed and very few get out and use them enough to be very good at them. I know some of you guys have been hunting and fishing all your lives and this doesn't pertain to you the true outdoors man. But for the few who don't do any of the fore mentioned skills very often I ask you to get out and work on your skill building and try and learn new skills. I'm far from the all knowing survival master so I go out every weekend I can to try out new things and work on other skills I want to get better at. All I'm asking is set aside a little time to work on skill building.

And as always keep your eye's open and your ear to the ground, because we all know evil is on it's way.

Where Is All The Common Sense Gone?

It seams like that most people today lack a good amount of common sense. Where has it all gone? Why are the sheeple of this country so dumbed down? I watch the news at night and can't even believe the BS they put out day after day. It's like what ever the boob tube tells them they believe, no mater how crazy the story is. Just look at the BS from the gulf on the oil spill. I still don't think we are getting the full story, not even 50% of the truth. Why can't they see the truth of this world. That a collapse is coming and times are going to get very bad. The cost of everything is going up like food, gas, oil and just about everything you can buy at the store. I know people can see it I hear them fuss about it all the time at work. The sad thing is that when they all see the truth it will be to late and the collapse will be going on. I think that my part is to try to help as many sheeple as I can, it's just so damn hard to deal with the fools. I still am working on my preps every day and hope you are doing the same. Keep ready and stay alert because the collapse is coming.

TEOTWAWKI

The end of the world as we know it. Is it near? Is the coming collapse the start of TEOTWAWKI or is it the big event? I think the collapse is very near, maybe within weeks or months but I do think it could be before the end of this year. For some reason I think it will be around the end of October. Don't ask me why I think this because I go over it in my head every day and still can't come up with why this month stands out more than any other. I pray about it and still can't get any reason to why I feel this way. So with that said I have kicked my prepping into high gear. Even if I didn't have a feeling about when the collapse would hit I still would be in high gear for the prepping. I got to go out to the range yesterday and shoot. Me and the new son-in-law spent about three hours out shooting and had a great time. I think the time at the range is just as important as any other prepping I do, I feel as if it's just another part of my preps. With our time getting short and the coming collapse I feel as if we need to ready ourselves for the coming evil and doom. And shooting is a skill that will be needed for the collapse and the coming years after the collapse. You may have lots of food and water to help you survive, you may have the best gear that money can buy, but if you can't defend your home, retreat or camp then you can and will lose everything you worked so hard to store and you may even lose you life. I think that having guns and ammo is a big part of survival, and not just having them but knowing how to use them, repair them and clean them. Survival is a multilevel event, you start at one point and work to a goal and that goal is to survive TEOTWAWKI. Work on your plan and if you don't have a plan start one ASAP because time is short. Remember that every day you prep is one more day of readiness and one more day of life for you and your loved ones. I'm not sure what it will be or when TEOTWAWKI will hit. I do know that something is about to happen I can feel it in my bones and I'm sure that most of you feel it to. So I plan to spend my day prepping and working on my plan of survival, I hope you are doing the same.

Keep your eye's open and your ear to the ground because the collapse is near and evil is riding with it.

The People Of This Country.......

The people of this country don't have a clue to what lies ahead. As I walked around and sat and watched the people this last weekend. I could see that no one has a clue to what great doom is headed our way, and to the most part is already here. As I can see the biggest part of the country live for the day and don't have any plan for tomorrow, much less long term survival. I see the biggest part of the people just as most of you see them, as sheeple. I had a good talk this weekend with a older man. I was at a big sports store in Denver and talked with this guy as I looked at the ammo. As I pulled this and that from the shelf he looked at each item I pulled and after a few items he asked me what I needed all that ammo for? And being so far from home and knowing I would never see this guy again I just told the truth. I said, " I'm stocking up for the coming collapse and know I will need this to survive" He stopped and had a stunned look on his face then looked around and said that's why I'm here. He told me that he goes out every week and looks for ammo and other survival items. I let hem know that I do the same thing. So we talked for a few minutes and he helped to build a sense of hope in my heart. I know this man is one of the 1-3% of this country but it helped me to see that there are a few that can see the coming collapse and are doing something about it. He was older than me and I'm 41, I think he was about 50 or so. He talked about having food, water and guns with ammo to survive the coming collapse. The one thing I liked about this guy was he was very careful about who heard what he had to say and was very careful to not let others who walked by hear what he had to say. I don't think he would have told me anything till he found out I was from another state.

We need more people like this guy and more people like the men and women who read this blog. I know it's hard to talk with the sheeple about the coming collapse, but we need to help the walking dead to become ready for the impending doom that will cover this country like a plague. The collapse is here and it is a slow down hill pull and at some point it will snap like a rope with to much tension on it. And at that point if you are not ready it will be to late to do very much. If you read this part of my blog and then never come back or never read any other survival blog please take this one bit of info; The collapse is here and life will get very hard to live and goods will become very hard to find so stock up on some needed items for your own survival. If I'm wrong all you will be out is a little time and a little money, but if I'm right and you stocked up on needed items you will have the gift of life for as long as you stocked up for. I think you need to have at least 30, 60, 90 days of food, water and other supplies, but if you can stock up for the long term do so. That means guns, ammo, seeds, and much more needed items. More to come in my blog on long term survival.
Keep your eyes open and your ear to the ground because evil is near and it feeds on death.

Back From Denver

I just got back today from Denver. Me and my wife went there for our oldest twin girl, she had her wedding there on Friday. It was great in Denver. We were there Thursday till today, so we had two days of work with the wedding and two days of fun, today didn't count because our flight was at 9:00am so just about enough to gas up the rental car and get a little bite of breakfast. The trip was for fun and for my daughter's wedding and I was able to get to the Bass Pro Shop and one other cool store and buy some fun stuff. Some I had to ship and others I got to bring home on the plane. All in all I had a great time and just had a few days of good down time and a little rest. Now I back home I'm back to work this week and back to work on my preps. And I made it to the Coors Plant in Golden CO and it was a lot of fun. I had a little time to read and sit and think about some good info I want to share so keep a look out for up coming post.

40 Uses For Baking Soda

Most of us know that baking soda can be used for more than just making homemade cookies and other dough rise. It's not uncommon to see an open box of this leavening agent deodorizing refrigerators, for example. But did you know that there are at least 40 different ways to use baking soda?

Baking soda makes a perfect stand-in for many personal care, cleaning, and deodorizing products. The list of benefits is long: It is inexpensive, free of toxic chemicals, versatile, and effective.

Wondering how baking soda, aka sodium bicarbonate, works its magic? It helps regulate pH — keeping a substance neither too acidic nor too alkaline. When baking soda comes in contact with either an acidic or an alkaline substance, its natural effect is to neutralize that pH. Beyond that, baking soda has the ability to retard further changes in the pH balance, known as buffering.

This dual capability of neutralizing and buffering allows baking soda to do things such as neutralize acidic odors (like in the refrigerator) as well as maintain neutral pH (like in your laundry water, which helps boost your detergent's power). It's a simple reaction, but one that has far-reaching effects for a number of cleaning and deodorizing tasks.

And so without further ado, here are some of the many creative ways you can use baking soda.

Personal Care
1. Make toothpaste
A paste made from baking soda and a 3 percent hydrogen peroxide solution can be used as an alternative to commercial non-fluoride toothpastes. (Or here’s a formula for a minty version.) You can also just dip your toothbrush with toothpaste into baking soda for an extra boost.

2. Freshen your mouth
Put one teaspoon in half a glass of water, swish, spit, and rinse. Odors are neutralized, not just covered up.

3. Soak oral appliance
Soak oral appliances (like retainers, mouthpieces, and dentures) in a solution of 2 teaspoons baking soda dissolved in a glass or small bowl of warm water. The baking soda loosens food particles and neutralizes odors to keep appliances fresh. You can also brush appliances clean using baking soda.

4. Use as a facial scrub and body exfoliant
Give yourself an invigorating facial and body scrub. Make a paste of 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water. Rub in a gentle circular motion to exfoliate the skin. Rinse clean. This is gentle enough for daily use.

5. Skip harsh deodorant
Pat baking soda onto your underarms to neutralize body odor.

6. Use as an antacid
Baking soda is a safe and effective antacid to relieve heartburn, sour stomach, and/or acid indigestion. Refer to baking soda package for instructions.

7. Treat insect bites and itchy skin
For insect bites, make a paste out of baking soda and water, and apply as a salve onto affected skin. To ease the itch, shake some baking soda into your hand and rub it into damp skin after bath or shower.

8. Make a hand cleanser and softener
Skip harsh soaps and gently scrub away ground-in dirt and neutralize odors on hands with a paste of 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water or 3 parts baking soda with gentle liquid hand soap. Then rinse clean.

9. Help your hair
Vinegar is amazing for your hair, but baking soda has its place in the shower too. Sprinkle a small amount of baking soda into your palm along with your favorite shampoo. Shampoo as usual and rinse thoroughly — baking soda helps remove the residue that styling products leave behind so your hair is cleaner and more manageable.

10. Clean brushes and combs
For lustrous hair with more shine, keep brushes and combs clean. Remove natural oil build-up and hair product residue by soaking combs and brushes in a solution of 1 teaspoon of baking soda in a small basin of warm water. Rinse and allow to dry.

11. Make a bath soak
Add 1/2 cup of baking soda to your bath to neutralize acids on the skin and help wash away oil and perspiration. It also makes your skin feel very soft. Or just focus on soothing your feet. Dissolve 3 tablespoons of baking soda in a tub of warm water and soak feet. Gently scrub.

Cleaning

12. Make a surface soft scrub
For safe, effective cleaning of bathroom tubs, tile, and sinks — even fiberglass and glossy tiles — sprinkle baking soda lightly on a clean damp sponge and scrub as usual. Rinse thoroughly and wipe dry. For extra cleaning power, make a paste with baking soda, coarse salt, and liquid dish soap — let it sit then scour off.

13. Hand-wash dishes and pots and pans
Add 2 heaping tablespoons baking soda (along with your regular dish detergent) to the dish water to help cut grease and foods left on dishes, pots, and pans. For cooked-on foods, let them soak in the baking soda and detergent with water first, then use dry baking soda on a clean damp sponge or cloth as a scratch-less scouring powder.

14. Freshen sponges
Soak stale-smelling sponges in a strong baking soda solution to get rid of the mess (4 tablespoons of baking soda dissolved in 1 quart of warm water). For more thorough disinfecting, use the microwave.

15. Clean the microwave
Baking soda on a clean damp sponge cleans gently inside and outside the microwave and never leaves a harsh chemical smell. Rinse well with water.

16. Polish silver flatware
Use a baking soda paste made with 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water. Rub onto the silver with a clean cloth or sponge. Rinse thoroughly and dry for shining sterling and silver-plate serving pieces.

17. Clean coffee and tea pots
Remove coffee and tea stains and eliminate bitter off-tastes by washing mugs and coffee makers in a solution of 1/4 cup baking soda in 1 quart of warm water. For stubborn stains, try soaking overnight in the baking soda solution and detergent or scrubbing with baking soda on a clean damp sponge.

18. Clean the oven
Sprinkle baking soda onto the bottom of the oven. Spray with water to dampen the baking soda. Let sit overnight. In the morning, scrub, scoop the baking soda and grime out with a sponge, or vacuum, and rinse.

19. Clean floors
Remove dirt and grime (without unwanted scratch marks) from no-wax and tile floors using 1/2 cup baking soda in a bucket of warm water — mop and rinse clean for a sparkling floor. For scuff marks, use baking soda on a clean damp sponge, then rinse.

20. Clean furniture
Clean and remove marks (even crayon) from walls and painted furniture by applying baking soda to a damp sponge and rubbing lightly. Wipe off with a clean, dry cloth.

21. Clean shower curtains
Clean and deodorize your vinyl shower curtain by sprinkling baking soda directly on a clean damp sponge or brush. Scrub the shower curtain and rinse clean. Hang it up to dry.

22. Boost your liquid laundry detergent
Give your laundry a boost by adding 1/2 cup of baking soda to your laundry to make liquid detergent work harder. A better balance of pH in the wash gets clothes cleaner, fresher, and brighter. Or you can add 1/2 cup of baking soda to the rinse cycle for fresher sheets and towels or to neutralize gym clothes and odoriferous clothing.

23. Clean and freshen sports gear
Use a baking soda solution (4 tablespoons baking soda in 1 quart warm water) to clean and deodorize smelly sports equipment. Sprinkle baking soda into golf bags and gym bags to deodorize and clean golf irons (without scratching them!) with a baking soda paste (3 parts baking soda to 1 part water) and a brush. Rinse thoroughly.

24. Remove oil and grease stains
Use baking soda to clean up light-duty oil and grease spills on your garage floor or in your driveway. Sprinkle baking soda on the spot and scrub with a wet brush.

25. Clean batteries
Baking soda can be used to neutralize battery acid corrosion on cars, mowers, etc., because its a mild alkali. Be sure to disconnect the battery terminals before cleaning. Make a paste of 3 parts baking soda to 1 part water and apply with a damp cloth to scrub corrosion from the battery terminal. After cleaning and reconnecting the terminals, wipe them with petroleum jelly to prevent future corrosion. Please be careful when working around a battery — they contain a strong acid.

26. Clean cars
Use baking soda to clean your car lights, chrome, windows, tires, vinyl seats, and floor mats without worrying about unwanted scratch marks. Use a baking soda solution of 1/4 cup baking soda in 1 quart of warm water. Apply with a sponge or soft cloth to remove road grime, tree sap, bugs, and tar. For stubborn stains use baking soda sprinkled on a damp sponge or soft brush. Eliminate odors by sprinkling baking soda directly on fabric car seats and carpets. Wait 15 minutes (or longer for strong odors) and vacuum up the baking soda.

Deodorizing

27. Deodorize your refrigerator
Place an open box in the back of the fridge to neutralize odors.

28. Deodorize trashcans and recyclables
Sprinkle baking soda on the bottom of your trashcan to keep stinky trash smells at bay. Clean your recyclables container periodically by sprinkling baking soda on a damp sponge. Wipe clean and rinse. Also, sprinkle baking soda on top as you add recyclables to the bin.

29. Deodorize drains and garbage disposals
To deodorize your sink and tub drains and garbage disposal and keep lingering odors from resurfacing, pour 1/2 cup of baking soda down the drain while running warm tap water — it will neutralize both acid and basic odors for a fresh drain. (This a good way to dispose of baking soda that is being retired from your refrigerator.)

30. Deodorize and clean dishwashers
Use baking soda to deodorize before you run the dishwasher and then as a gentle cleanser in the wash cycle.

31. Deodorize lunch boxes
Between uses, place a spill-proof box of baking soda in everyone’s lunch box to absorb lingering odors.

32. Remove odor from carpets
Liberally sprinkle baking soda on the carpet. Let set overnight or as long as possible (the longer it sets the better it works). Sweep up the larger amounts of baking soda, and vacuum up the rest. (Note that your vacuum cleaner bag will get full and heavy.) An added bonus: You'll also deodorize your vacuum cleaner.

33. Freshen closets
Place a box on the shelf to keep the closet smelling fresh.

34. Deodorize pet items
Cover the bottom of your cat box with baking soda, then fill as usual with litter. To freshen between changes, sprinkle baking soda on top of the litter after a thorough cleaning. Eliminate odors from your pet's bedding by sprinkling liberally with baking soda, wait 15 minutes (or longer for stronger odors), then vacuum up.

35. Deodorize sneakers
Keep odors from spreading in smelly sneakers by shaking baking soda into them when not in use. Shake out before wearing.

36. Freshen stuffed animals
Keep favorite cuddly toys fresh with a dry shower of baking soda. Sprinkle baking soda on and let it sit for 15 minutes before brushing off.

Miscellaneous
37. Cure all camping needs
Baking soda is a must-have for your next camping trip. It's a dish-washer, pot-scrubber, hand-cleanser, deodorant, toothpaste, and fire extinguisher, and has many other uses.

38. Extinguish fires
Baking soda can help in the initial handling of minor grease or electrical kitchen fires, because when baking soda is heated, it gives off carbon dioxide, which helps to smother the flames. For small cooking fires (frying pans, broilers, ovens, grills), turn off the gas or electricity if you can safely do so. Stand back and throw handfuls of baking soda at the base of the flame to help put out the fire — and call the fire department just to be safe.

39. Care for the septic system
Regular use of baking soda in your drains can help keep your septic system flowing freely. One cup of baking soda per week will help maintain a favorable pH in your septic tank.

40. Scrub fruits and vegetables
Baking soda is the food safe way to clean dirt and residue off fresh fruit and vegetables. Just sprinkle a little on a clean damp sponge, scrub and rinse. Here’s another way to clean your vegetables as well.

OK, so there are my 40 suggestions (with a little help from the Arm & Hammond baking soda site, thank you). Do you have any tips or tricks that I missed? Please share in the comments.

All One Big Sidestep.......

Same old news just with the new sidesteps. We never get the truth in the network news. We only get the news that the NWO wants us to have. Look at the oil spill in the gulf, the story is different every two or three days about how much oil is being dumped in to the gulf. Then the BS about how they are going to stop the oil is different every week. I don't think we have got 20% of the real truth about the oil spill. And look at the White House Chief of Staff Rahm Emanuel is fond of saying, “You don’t ever want a crisis to go to waste; it’s an opportunity to do important things that you would otherwise avoid.” Well, the Obama Administration certainly has not let the(BP) Deepwater Horizon oil rig crisis go to waste, using it as a smokescreen to silently assault and further diminish American citizens’ personal freedom. While the nation has its eyes and ears focused on the blame game ping-pong match between President Obama and BP top brass, President Obama on Thursday, June 10, quietly announced a new Executive Order establishing the “National Prevention, Health Promotion, and Public Health Council.”
Claiming the “authority vested in me as President by the Constitution and the laws of the United States of America,” President Obama has truly gone off the deep end this time in his most atrocious attempt to date to control every aspect of Americans’ lives.

According to the Executive Order that details the President’s “National Prevention and Health Promotion Strategy,” the Council will be charged with carrying out ” lifestyle behavior modification” among American citizens that do not exhibit “healthy behavior.”

The President’s desired lifestyle behavior modifications detailed in Sec. 6 (c) focus on:

■smoking cessation;
■proper nutrition;
■appropriate exercise;
■mental health;
■behavioral health;
■sedentary behavior (see Sec. 3 [c]);
■substance-use disorder; and
■domestic violence screenings.
Making matters even worse, if that is even possible at this point, President Obama will create an “Advisory Group” composed of experts hand-picked from the public health field and various other areas of expertise “outside the Federal Government.”
Let’s consider who the President has sought advice and mentoring from in the past.
Now, President Obama is going to seek medical advisors who will be charged with modifying lifestyles and behaviors of those citizens he deems unhealthy? “Paging Dr. Kevorkian! You’re wanted in the White House STAT by President Obama!”

Whether you are a child, a parent, a worker, or retired, the President’s approximately 25-member “Advisory Group” will soon be present in every aspect of Americans’ lives, as the Executive Order prescribes in Sec. 4 (b). Specifically, our new so-called lifestyle behavior modification advisors will be actively carrying out the President’s orders in:

■worksite health promotion;
■community services, including community health centers;
■preventive medicine;
■health coaching;
■public health education;
■geriatrics; and
■rehabilitation medicine.
President Obama’s sweeping plan to enforce “lifestyle behavior modification” is chock full of open-ended target areas, especially when it comes to issues of “mental” and “behavioral” health, “proper nutrition,” “sedentary behavior,” and “appropriate exercise.” The President’s Executive Order is a blatant and forceful attempt to adjust the way Americans young and old think, behave, eat, drink and whatever else free will used to entitle our nation’s citizens to enjoy as prescribed by the Founding Fathers.

If you are feeling stressed-out, sad, confused, hungry, thirsty, bored, or tired, do you honestly trust President Obama and his “Advisory Group” to act in your best interests?

10 Step Survival Plan (Repost But Great Info)

#1 Determination- You must have the will to survive, the tools and the know how to survive.

#2 Have a Short and a Long Term Survival Plan- You have to be ready for any disaster or emergency and for any length of time. From a day to a year or more.

#3 Be and Stay Healthy- You have to be in good health to be strong, and being strong will increase you chance of survival.

#4 Practicing Your Skills- You need to use the skills you have to keep them strong and as you learn new skills you need to keep them fresh in your mind.

#5 Training- Going with number 4 you have to learn new skills, like rope making, soap making, how to grow a garden and woodworking. Having skills after a SHTF event is going to be a very important part of life.

#6 Don’t Show Off You Preparedness Items- Don’t tell, don’t talk and never show anyone your preps. If you show a friend and then he never stocks an item the second a SHTF event happens the first place he will show up is your place because what you have is part his because you have so much. When the chips are down you have no friends.

#7 You must have or Start a garden- If you don’t know how to start one then find out. Go to garden centers and see if they have a class on starting a garden. If we hope to return to prosperity, America must return to a time when families grew much of their own food. Moreover, if we find ourselves in the midst of an economic disaster, we can persevere by growing our own food in the back yard. Heirloom seeds will provide you food forever because unlike hybrid and genetically modified seeds, you can save the next generation of seeds and replant next year. Hybrids are usually sterile and their offspring are worthless. Whether by design or accident, it appears that the world is headed towards a worldwide economic and agricultural collapse you need to get some seeds now and start a garden and store some of the seeds.

#8 Guns and Ammo- First if you don’t have a gun you need one, but first take a gun safety class to learn how to use and clean a firearm. Then buy as much ammo as you can. And remember you can own more that one gun.

#9 Food and water- You have to have both and you need to store at least three months of it. The government said you need three days, hell it took them 4-5 days just to get bottled water to the flood victims in N.O. Me I have a year of food and water but to start off with go for the three months and work up. Mountain House freeze-dried foods are packed in airtight NITROGEN PACKED #10 cans and have a 25+ years of shelf-life. With a little money you can get your three months all at once.
Water is a hard one you need at least two ways to get water. One could be to store it you can get stabilized oxygen to store your water for long term.
WATER TREATMENT
This is one of the most important uses of our Stabilized Oxygen.
To keep you water safe, and inhibit the growth of harmful bacteria (while in proper storage containers like 55 gallon drums), we recommend the following:
First, make sure your container is properly disinfected and clean.
If you're storing filtered water - 10 drops per gallon.
If you're using normal tap water - 20 drops per gallon.
And you need a 2nd so get a water filter system like backpacker use and have a lot of extra filters.

#10 Household Items- You will need lots of household items for your survival.
HOUSEHOLD ITEMS and MEDICAL SUPPLIES
AM/FM Radio / Solar Powered
Hydrogen Peroxide
Baking Soda
Multi-vitamins/Amino/Vitamin C
Batteries
Stitching Kit (for serious cuts)
Beef Jerky
First Aid Kit
Blankets

What Is Yor Line In The Sand?

What is your point of no return? What is the one thing that Big Brother can do to you that will push you over the edge? I know a few people that say it would be the gun grab or the RFID chip. For me I'm just about to my end of the rope. I have almost had it with the BS from the leaders of this country. So far all I can see; as far as there leadership is that they are leading use down the road to doom or death. I have never see this country this bad in all my 41 years of life. I can't see how we are not about to collapse. Every where you look you can see stupid BS from Big Brother. They walk on the Constitution like is a hunk of junk. They use some of it for there advantage and try to get rid of or rewrite the parts that they don't like. I say it's time for a real change, we all need to raise a little hell and take to the streets. Pitch forks in one hand and the word of God and the words of the Founding Fathers in the other, and take back our country from the bobble heads who run it now. Hell I bet a room full of monkeys and jackasses could run the country better than the fools in office now. I feel as if now is the time to make a stand for real freedom. Stand strong and ready your guns and ammo, because a fight is coming and it's coming soon.

Jackpot!!!!!

Me and the wife went into Wal-Mart today to pick up a few things for this weekend and as always I walked over to the ammo and checked things out. And Jackpot they had 9mm,.22LR,.38spl and some .223 ammo. So me and my wife were able to get 12 boxes of ammo because they still have the six items only on ammo but with the wife and me we got six each. I got three boxes of Federal .22LR 550 Bricks and three boxes of 9mm (50rounds) and the wife got four boxes of the Federal .22LR 550 Bricks and two boxes of the 9mm (50 rounds) all in all I feel it was a good day for ammo. I was told by the clerk at the ammo counter that they are starting to see more ammo over the last few weeks and she thinks that it will keep up for a short time. I'm not sure where she got that info but I plan to keep a look out for the ammo at Wal-Mart over the next few weeks or months. I'm not sure if the amount of ammo is getting bigger or if people are backing off buying ammo as they were over the last year or so. I hope you all are working on your preps and not buying the BS of how things are getting better, because there not getting better and the collapse is on it's way.

Buy Land, Barbed Wire And Guns!!!!!!!

Investment Banker: It’s Going To Get Nasty — Buy Land, Barbed Wire And Guns

Paul Joseph Watson
Prison Planet.com and Infowars.com
Tuesday, June 8, 2010

A top investment banker has warned that the economic fallout of the sovereign debt crisis could get so nasty over the next five years that people would be wise to abandon the markets and instead buy land, barbed wire and guns.

With gold smashing through its all time record high this morning on the back of fears over a double dip recession, analysts are turning increasingly bearish on the markets. Anthony Fry, senior managing director at Evercore Partners, told CNBC that the bond markets could turn nasty over the next few months and said that the current problems created by the European debt crisis could be with us for at least five years.

“Look at the current situation. You have Greece, now you have Hungary and huge issues surrounding Spain and Portugal,” he said, warning of a “nightmare scenario” of hyper-stagflation, where inflation rises dramatically but asset prices deflate.

“I don’t want to scare anyone but I am considering investing in barbed wire and guns, things are not looking good and rates are heading higher,” said Fry.

RBS Chief Strategist Bob Janjuah echoed Fry’s sentiments, predicting that governments would inject at least $15 trillion dollars more qualitative easing into the system and that investors should get into gold to offset the depreciating value of fiat currencies.

“Over the next 6 months we will see private sector deflation pushing 10-year yields down to 2 percent,” he said. “This will see the policymakers mistakenly attempt to kick-start the economy and market with a global quantitative easing program worth between $10 and $15 trillion dollars.”

Janjuah pointed out that, while gold has dramatically risen in value over the last ten years, the S&P 500 and the Dow Jones have both remained flat over the course of a decade.

Gold hit a record high of $1,251.85 dollars an ounce this morning as investors continued to flock to the precious metal as a hedge against economic turmoil and the very real possibility of a double dip recession.

With U.S. debt moving towards parity with GDP, members of Congress and leading financial experts are warning that the United States will be in the same dire situation as Greece within 7-10 years unless the federal government implements radical austerity measures.

The backlash to those austerity measures usually takes the form of rioting and violence, as we have seen unfold in Greece.

Top historians, social and financial analysts, along with police bodies are all predicting that Europe and America are set to experience a summer of rage, with social discontent building as a result of economic hardship.

“Far be it for me to make a dicey situation dicier but you can’t smell the sulphur in the air right now and not think we might be on the threshold of an age of rage,” wrote historian Simon Schama in his recent Financial Times column.

This Is A Good Read........

I got this in an e-mail from a friend, from time to time he sends me some good info. This one was so good I had to share it with you all. I hope everyone is having a good weekend and keep up the prepping, because our lives depend upon our preps.

The E-Mail:

This is the most interesting thing I've read in a long time. The sad thing about it, you can see it coming.

I have always heard about this democracy
countdown.
It is interesting to see it in print.
God help us, not that we deserve it.

How
Long Do We Have?

About the time our original thirteen states adopted their new constitution in 1787, Alexander Tyler,
a Scottish history professor at the University of Edinburgh ,
had this to say about the fall of the
Athenian
Republic some 2,000 years earlier:

'A democracy is always temporary in nature;
it simply cannot exist as a permanent form of government.'

'A democracy will continue to exist up until the time
that voters discover they can vote themselves
generous gifts from the public treasury.'

' From that moment on, the majority always vote for the candidates
who promise the most benefits from the public treasury,
with the result that every democracy will finally collapse
due to loose fiscal policy,
which is always followed by a dictatorship.'

'The
average age of the world's greatest civilizations
from the beginning of history, has been about 200 years'

'During those 200 years, those nations always progressed
through the following
sequence:

1.
from bondage to spiritual faith;

2.
from spiritual faith to great courage;

3.
from courage to liberty;

4.
from liberty to abundance;

5.
from abundance to complacency;

6.
from complacency to apathy;

7.
from apathy to dependence;

8.
from dependence back into bondage'

Professor Joseph Olson of Hemline University
School of Law, St. Paul , Minnesota
points out some interesting facts concerning the
2008 Presidential election:

Number of States won by:
Democrats: 19
Republicans: 29

Square miles of land won by:
Democrats: 580,000
Republicans: 2,427,000

Population
of counties won by:
Democrats: 127 million
Republicans: 143 million

Murder
rate per 100,000 residents in counties won by:
Democrats: 13.2
Republicans: 2.1

Professor Olson adds:
'In aggregate, the map of the territory the
Republican won was mostly the land owned by the
taxpaying citizens of this great country. Democrat
territory mostly encompassed those citizens living
in government-owned tenements and living off various
forms of government welfare...' Olson believes the
United States
is somewhere between the 'complacency and
apathy' phase of Professor Tyler's definition of
democracy, with some forty percent of the nation's
population already having reached the 'governmental
dependency phase.

If
Congress grants amnesty and citizenship to twenty million criminal invaders called illegals and they vote, then we can say goodbye to the USA
in fewer than five
years.

If you are not in favor of what is happening, then pass this along to help everyone realize just how much is at stake, knowing that apathy is the greatest danger to our freedom.

What If The SHTF Today?

What would you do first? What would be your first step? I know I have a plan for when the SHTF and I have a few things on my list to do ASAP. If I can I plan to make that last ditch run to the local store within blocks of my house. Any and all food, water and other items I can afford. I do have a friend that plans to do the same thing in his home town but not pay for any thing just take it. I plan to pay if I can but if I get to this store and no one is there I plan to shop for free. If the SHTF fast and I can't get out to do my last run on the store then it's fine. I have other things to do on my list. I'm not sure how the collapse will hit or if I will have to bug out or shelter in place. I plan to stay in place and make a go at it here. But if I need to bug out I have a plan for it and if I can as I bug out I will hit up the few stores I know of on my route out of town. And I do have a stash of food, water and extra ammo on three routes out of town.

So what would be your first thing you do? The collapse hits and you have to get your ass going, what do you do first?
What is the top five things on your list to do first? Post a comment and let me know.

More Fun!!!

I got this in an e-mail from a friend and thought I should post it.

Gubmint and How Gubmint Works

Once upon a time the government had a vast scrap yard in the middle of a desert. Congress said, "Someone may steal from it at night."

So they created a night watchman position and hired a person for the job. Then Congress said, "How does the watchman do his job without instruction?" So they created a planning department and hired two people, one person to write the instructions, and one person to do time studies. Then Congress said, "How will we know the night watchman is doing the tasks correctly?" So they created a Quality Control department and hired two people. One to do the studies and one to write the reports. Then Congress said, "How are these people going to get paid?" So They created the following positions, a time keeper, and a payroll officer, then hired two people. Then Congress said, "Who will be accountable for all of these people?" So they created an administrative section and hired three people, an Administrative Officer, Assistant Administrative Officer, and a Legal Secretary. Then Congress said, "We have had this command in operation for one Year and we are $18,000 over budget, we must cutback overall cost." So they laid off the night watchman. NOW slowly, let it sink in. Quietly, we go like sheep to slaughter. Does anybody remember the reason given for the establishment of the DEPARTMENT OF ENERGY..... during the Carter Administration? Anybody? Anything? No? Didn't think so! Bottom line. We've spent several hundred billion dollars in support of an agency...the reason for which not one person who reads this can remember! Ready?? It was very simple...and at the time, everybody thought it very appropriate. The Department of Energy was instituted on 8-04-1977, TO LESSEN OUR DEPENDENCE ON FOREIGN OIL. Hey, pretty efficient, huh??? AND NOW IT'S 2009 -- 32 YEARS LATER -- AND THE BUDGET FOR THIS "NECESSARY" DEPARTMENT IS AT $24.2 BILLION A YEAR. THEY HAVE 16,000 FEDERAL EMPLOYEES AND APPROXIMATELY 100,000 CONTRACT EMPLOYEES; AND LOOK AT THE JOB THEY HAVE DONE! THIS IS WHERE YOU SLAP YOUR FOREHEAD AND SAY, "WHAT WAS I THINKING?"

32 years ago 30% of our oil consumption was foreign imports. Today 70% of our oil consumption is foreign imports. Ah, yes -- good ole bureaucracy. AND, NOW, WE ARE GOING TO TURN THE BANKING SYSTEM, HEALTH CARE, AND THE AUTO INDUSTRY OVER TO THE SAME GOVERNMENT?HELLOOO!

Anybody Home?
VOTE ALL THE SUCKERS OUT.

What's Down The Road?

What lies ahead for us as a country? What will the next day bring for you and your family? Do you have the needed food, water and medical supplies you would need for the next three months, the next six months or the next year? Would you be ready if the collapse hit today?
We all need to ask the same questions, that is the questions that lead us to preparedness. How do we get ready and what do we need to do to get there.
Here is a short list of what we all need to do.
1) Make a plan! You have to have a place to start and this is it.
2) Start a list of needed items and start getting them.
3) Make a list of items you have on hand and compare it to your need list.
3) Find and read books on everything about survival and related info.
4) Survival gear get it and learn to use it. Equipment that you don’t know how to use is useless.
5) Learn to hunt and fish, this is a must you can only store so much food so at some point you will have to hunt, fish or grow your own food.
6) Learn to grow your own food so get and have seeds on hand and not the junk, you will need Heirloom seeds and know how to use them.
7) Ways to cook and heat water, you will need more than one way to do this so make a plan and stick to it.
8) Have a shelter in place plan and a bug out plan. With your bug out plan have more than one way out of your area, have a back up plan to the back up plan.
9) Have a cache or two along your bug out route. Extra ammo, food and water would be a good idea. You could use a GPS for this but I would make a map to be safe.
10) Keep your survival kits up to date and ready to go, like your BOB and any other kits you have in place to survive.

Our time is short so if you are just starting you need to get into gear ASAP!!! If you are already on the road to survival then stick to it and keep prepping because your lives depend on it!

Great Weekend....

I had a great weekend. Got to go shooting all three days off. In the three days off I ran over 800 rounds in my Mini-14 and over 1000 rounds in my 10/22. I think I will plan to go shoot every other weekend for the next few months. I can find .223 and .22LR now at the two gun stores near me, they just cost an arm and a leg. I think I will take the shotguns out next trip. I got the shoot this weekend with my soon to be son-in-law. We both want to get more trigger time. I think in the last days we have getting in some trigger time is a good thing. I did work on my preps a little and plan to do more with the food saver this week. Keep up the work and stand ready for the collapse. Our time is short.
